[Update] King County One Night Homeless Count
Terry Pallas - June 06 2018Community
Just last week we learned about the heartbreaking increase in homelessness in Seattle.
But I’m writing you today with some exciting news.
Through your generosity, we’re hitting the streets of King County every day from 6am to midnight, reaching out to our homeless neighbors and inviting them back to a changed life.
Despite the rise in numbers for those experiencing homelessness, you and I know that with God's help, there is always hope!
When you give to the Mission, you help mobilize our Outreach Team who knows faces, names, and stories.
“We see people sleeping in tents, in cars, and in RVs. We serve those folks — they are all our brothers and sisters,” says Richard McAdams, Outreach Team. “We show them love and support to show them that they matter.”
And we know that each person we get off the streets has the opportunity to be reconciled with their children and their families. Each person changed has a ripple effect on the community around them.
