Turkeys Needed!

For our homeless neighbors, Thanksgiving can be an anxious and isolating time for those who don’t have close family or friends to spend the day with. At Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission, we are opening our doors and inviting our homeless neighbors to a seat at the table this Thanksgiving.

This year, the Mission expects to serve more than a thousand meals to men, women, and children through long-term recovery programs, emergency shelters, and Search + Rescue outreach efforts on Thanksgiving day.

With more homeless neighbors than ever before, our need this year is great – the Mission needs 1,500 turkeys to help our homeless neighbors and families in need this Thanksgiving season. That is why we are calling on members of the community to donate 15 to 20-pound frozen turkeys from now until November 27.

We are extremely blessed to live in a city that loves and cares for our homeless neighbors and those who are hurting. Your turkey donation not only provides a homeless neighbor with a meal this Thanksgiving, it's a time for communing together, finding rest, and offering support to those in need.
