Seattle Homelessness Reaches New Records

Today, more Seattle neighbors than ever are in need of help and hope.

The greater Seattle area is witnessing a record-breaking increase in homelessness, surging to more than 16,000. According to a recent article in the Seattle Times, this “is the largest number ever reported in Seattle and King County using the biennial snapshot…”. Though this number is staggering on its own, some suggest that this most recent count is a conservative estimate.

Interim CEO of the Regional Homelessness Authority explains that those that are living on the streets are in desperate need of resources, stating, “…the displacement into homelessness is growing at a faster pace than the response system.” Read more on SeattleTimes.com.

Over 16,000 men, women, and children – each with their own unique stories, and experiences – each of them beloved by God – are looking for hope to start a new life.
